A Former Accountant Had Been Sentenced To 367 Year Inprisonment Over Steeling More Than Rs.2.1 Million

Mahendren had today(06) sentenced an Accountant formerly attached to  a private Company in Colombo to 367 year rigorous imprisonment over cheating more than  Rs.2.1 million belonging to the company by submitting fraudulent documents .

High Court Judge  had also fined the accused Accountant Hikkaduwa Liyanage Nandasiri  who found guilty on charges levelled against him and fled away by avoiding courts ,Rs.2.1 million .Judge Mahendren has also issued open warrents to arrest and produce the accused before the court .

The accused had worked as an Accountant for the private complany between 04 th of January  2000 to 03rd of January 2001 and Attorney General had filed 10  indictments at High Court  against the accused  .




National Police Commission Had Approved the Transferes Of 60 Police Officers

National Police Commission had
approved the transfers of 60 Police officers including 04 Deputy Inspector Generals Of Police (DIG)  accordance to the request made by Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chandana Wikramaratne .

Accordingly National Police Commission has approved the transferes of 60 Police Officers including 04 DIG's ,20 Police OIC's ,11 Supirintendents of Police and 08 Senior supirintendents of Police (SSP).
