Reuters Photographer Has Been Remanded Over Attempting To Enter A School Without Permission

Negambo Magistrate Court had
yesterday  (02)remanded a Photographer attached to Reuters News Service Siddiqui Ahmed Danish until 15th of May over attempting to enter Maristella Collage,Negambo without permission .

The suspected photographer who is an Iraqi National and arrived in Sri Lanka from India ,has been arrested by the Katana Police last noon (02) accordance to an Emergancy call received to 119 from parents of school children attached to Maristella Collage regarding him.

The Reuters photographer had attempted to enter the Collage without permission to get an information regarding a school boy killed due to Easter Sunday bomb attack in Katuwapitiya Church,Negambo it has been revealed.

Two Persons Arrested With A Stock Of Robes And Alm Bowls At Balapitiya

Two Muslim Nationals Had been
arrested with a stock of robes worn by Buddhist priests and around 105 alm  bowls (Pathra) stored in 05 Fertilizer bags and hidden in a house at Revatha Road,Balapitiya last night (02 ) during a joint search operation carried out by Police,Army,Navy and Special Task Force Personal.

Another person was arrested during the search operation with a sharp objects according to forces .


A Muslim Shop Owner Had Been Arrested With A Stock Of Cloth Metarial Similar To Material Used For Army Jungle Uniforms

A 28 year old Muslim shop owner had
been arrested with a stock of Cloth material  similar to the one used to sew  Army Jungle Uniforms hidden in his shop at Saint Joseph Street, Grand pass yesterday (02)during a joint search operation carried out by Grand pass Police and Army in the area .

Forces have recovered more than 20 Cloth material  rolls similar to the ones used for Army jungle uinforms hidden in the shop during the search operation .
The shop owner is a resident of Saint Joseph Street ,Grand pass. 

Three Persons Had Been Arrested Whilst Attempting To Post More Than 600 Mud Slinging Leaflets At Central Mail Exchange

Colombo Fort Police have arrested
three Persons who had attempted to post more than 600 mud slinging leaflets Defaming President Maithripala Sirisena and making disharmony among races at Central Mail Exchange in Colombo last night (02).

The three suspects are attached to a Powerful Government Minister representing Kandy district including his Media Secretary according to   Police.

When the suspects had attempted to post a large number of letters at once Police officers at the Police post in Central Mail Exchange had suspected on it and found they were mud slimging leaflets including a statement against president copied from internet after opening of  one letter it has been revealed.

The letters were due to be posted to Temples and persons in Kandy District Police says.The suspects are due to be handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division for further investigations .
