A Person Was Killed Due To Lorry-Cab Collision

A 47 year old person had been killed

and two others had been critically injured and hospitalizded after the Cab They were travelling in colliding with a lorry near Epitamulla junction on Galle-Matara main road in wee hours of this morning (09).

Three critically injured had been admitted to Matara General Hospital where one of them had siccumbed to his injuries .

Matara Police are conducting an investigation over the incident.

Sri Lankan Airlines Has Been Vested With Ministry Of Finance

Sri Lankan Airlines and affliated institutions have  been vested  with the 

Ministry of Finance with immediatte effect by the President Maithrpala Sirisena under a special gazette notification issued dated 07th of March.

Accordance with the Gazette Notification Sri Lanka Telecommunication Regulatory Commission has  been vested with   Ministry of Defense ,Ranmimitanna Cinema village has been vested  with  Ministry of Housing ,Constructions and Cultural Affairs and Sri Lanka Telecom and affliated institutions  have been vested with   Ministry of Telecommunications Employment and sports .

Borella Traffic Police OIC Who Had Been Critically Injured Due To An Accident Had Passed Away

Borella Traffic Police OIC who had been

critically injured and hospitalized after colliding with a high speeed Defender vehicle on 24 th of February whilst on the way to Colpetty Police station for a duty ,,had succumbed to his injuries shortehile ago it has been revealed.

The deceased OIC was travelling on a Motorcycle at the time of the incident .He was admitted to Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital after the incident and undergone a surgery as well.

The Defender which was rezponsible for the incident had fled away after the incident and the Police have recovered it with the driver at a House in Colombo.

A Person Died Due To An Electrocution

A 29 year old person has died due to an electrocution at fisheries road in Kaththankudy ,Battocaloa this morning (09).A common lamp post was responsible for the electeocution.

The deceased had faced this incident whilst engaging  in construction work of a two storied house at fisheries road it has been revealed.

Karhthankudy police are conducting an investigation over the incident.

A Person Was Shot And Injured At Mawanella

Two gunmen arrived  in  a Motorcycle

have shot  and injured a 37 year old person at Mawanalla area this morning (09).

The injured had been admitted to Mawanella District Hospital  and afterwards he was  transferred to Kandy Hospital for furher treatment.His condition is not serious .

The cause behind the incident has not tet been revealed.
