"Sena "Cattapillars Are Destroying Finger Millet Cultivation In Some Areas-Farmers Revealed

"Sena" Cattapillar which destroyed a large area of Corn cultivation in many Districts throughout the island, are also destroying Finger Millet (KurakKan )cultivation in many areas of North Central Province at present according to farmers .

Accordingly Finger Millet cultivation in Elayapattuwa ,Wandurupitiya and several other areas had been destroyed due to "Sena" cattapillar they have said .

Two Persons Had Been Critically Injured Due To Three Wheeler -Bus Collision

A Female and a Three Wheeler Driver

had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a Private Bus travelling from Meegoda to Pettah at Ward Place in Borella this evening  (18).

The Injured Had Been admitted to Colombo National Hospital for ttreatment.

The incident occurred when the high speed  Private Bus travelling without considering signal lights according to reports .

After the incident a group of persons have attacked  the Driver and Conductor  over the incident

152 Modern Ambulances Made In Britain And Germany Handed Over To Hospitals

152 Ambulances With modern

equipment made in Popular "Ford "company in Britain and "Bens "Company in Germany had been handed over to 152 Provincial and Central Government /Ayurveda Hospitals Island Wide today (18) at a ceremony held in Colombo Municipality Grounds ,Townhall .

Accordingly Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne  has handed over the Ambulances valued around Rs.2500 million to the 116 Provincial ,34 Central Government and 02 Ayurveda Hospitals.

Out of these Ambulances 132 had been made in "British Ford " company and 20 Ambulances were made in Bens Company Germany .
