A Fake Ayurveda Practitioner Was Arrested With A Large Amount Of Narcotic Tabs And Capsules

Police have arrested a 59 year old Fake Ayurveda Practitioner with over 100,000 Narcotic Tablets and capsules in possession during a raid carried out at Weeragula area(Western Province) it has been reported .

The fake Ayurveda Practitioner had practiced at an unregistered Ayurveda Center at WeeasurIya kanda area , Weragula.

The suspect who is a resident of Meerigama area is due to be produced before a court .

Two Persons Had Been Critically Injured Due To A Vehicle Collision

A School Girl and a Three Wheeler Driver had been critically injured and hospitalized after

the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with another Three Wheeler arrived in front at Bawwagama area in Nawalapitiya on Nawalapitiya -Gampola road this morning (16).

The critically injured School Girl and the Three Wheeler Driver had been admitted to Nawalapitiya Base Hospital for treatment and later they had been transferred to Kandy Teaching Hospital for fuhrer treatment .

The incident occurred as a result of the High speed of the Three Wheeler the two injured persons had travelled in according to Nawalapitiya Police .

A Sudden Fire Destroyed A Fuel Bowser And Fuel Station Building With Equipment At Galkulama

Due to a sudden fire occurred in a Fuel Bowser whilst pumping fuel to underneath Fuel Tank

s of a Fuel Station at Galkulama ,Anuradhapura ,the Bowser ,the Fuel Station building,Pumps pumping Diesel and Petrol to vehicles and a large number of LP Gas tanks had been burnt and destroyed today (16).

However the Fire Brigade attached to the Fire Services Department at Anuradhapura Municipal Council had managed to douse the fire spreading in Bowser and avoid a possible explosion it has been reported.

Soon after the fire erupted in the Fuel Station located near the A-9 road,Thirappanai Police officers have arrived in the scene and attempted to douse the fire ,However as they have failed to doing so Fire Brigade was called according to reports.

A group of Army Officers and residents of the area have also assisted the fire fighters to douse the fire.

No casualties had been reported due to the incident and cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
