A Former Sri Lankan Flight Captain Was Arrested At The Airport With A Firearm

Police had arrested a 55 year old
former Flight Captain  attached to the Sri Lanka Airforce and Sri Lankan Airlines while attempting to carry 6.36 Mili meter Auto pistol ,A Magazine and an Amunition and fly to Dubai at the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport this morning (06).

The suspect who is a resident of Rajagiriya is currently attached to an Airlines in Kenya it has been revealed.

Police are now conducting an inquiry by questioning the suspect to find out the reason behind the carrying of a firearm by the suspect .

Around Twenty Five Passangers Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Collision Of Two Trains

Around 25 Train Passangers had been
injured and hospitalized after a Train travelling from Colombo to Rambukkana colliding with a Colombo-Kandy bound Passanger Train which was parked on the Railway line due to a break down this evening (06).

The injured including office workers has been admitted to the Polgahawela Hospital for treatment .

Due to the incident a train delay is being reported  .

A Person Died After Falling Down From.A Condominium

A 75 year old person had died after
falling down from a fourth floor of a Condominium  at Suriyamalpura in Keselwatta today (06)it has been reported.

The deceased was a resident of Jaffna.

Fourth Person Admitted To The Hospital After Falling Sick During A DJ Party In Wadduwa Had Died

The fourth person who had been
hospitalized after falling sick during a DJ Party organized by a Facebook Friends Society and held at a Hotel in Wadduwa Beech had died today (06)it has been reported.

Earlier three youth who were participated the event and fallen sick had died on Sunday(05) morning and evening after admission to the Panadura Hospital.They had been identified as residents of Kesbawa and Divulapitiya areas of the ages 20,31 and 36 years .

The fourth person admitted  to the Panadura hospital had died this noon.All four persons who had fallen sick during the party had admitted to the Panadura Base Hospital.

Police believes the deceased had consumed the artificial Narcotic "Black Mandy"during the party.
