A Fire Erupted In Muthurajawela Reserve Destroyed A Large Acres Of Land

A sudden fire erupted in Muthurajawela reserve between

Pubudugama and Nadurupitiya on last Saturday evening(07) had been destroyed a large acres of land belongs to the reserve it has been reported.

The fire had spreads near the Colombo-Katunayake Express Highway and it was doused by the fire brigade on Saturday night.

Police believes a person or a group of persons may have lit the fire.

A Lorry Toppled In To A Canal At Norwood

Matarials to a Ayerbi Estate in Norwood from Hatton had toppled in to a Ayerbi canal last evening(08)it has been reported.

No one in the Lorry was injured due to the incident.

The accident occured due to the driver's inability to control the vehicle it has been reported.

A Gun Shooting Killed Two Persons In Jampatah Street

Two persons including a female were

killed and two others were injured and hospitalized due to a gun shooting incident occurred at Selwige Watte,In Jampatah Streat.Colombo few hours ago.

Four persons were injured and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital where a 58 year old male and a 50 year old female had succumbed to their injuries after admission to the hospital.

The reason behind the Gun shooting incident has not yet been revealed.

Coastal Guard Police are investigating on the incident.

A Fire Erupted In "Little Sripada"(Little Adam's Peak)

A huge fire is currently spreading in the land area belongs to "Little Sripada" (Little Adam's Peak)Mountain reserve at Ella in Badulla since this evening (08)had destroyed around 100 acres of land according to reports.

The fire was erupted in the Mountain reserve which belongs to the Ravana falls (Ella)reserve which is a popular tourist spot and a home to a large number of endangered trees and species it has been reported.

The fire is currently spreading over the Mountain reserve.
