A Female Was Killed And Three others injured Due To A Three Wheeler -Lorry Collision
A female was killed and another three
family were injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a Lorry parked at a corner of the road at Kahakorawewa area on Anuradhapura-Puttalam road this morning(31).
The injured were admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred as a result of the Three Wheeler driver had fallen a sleep while at the wheel according to the Anuradhapura Police which conducting an investigation over the incident.
Police have arrested the Lorry driver regarding the accident.

Two Persons Were Arrested With A Stock Of Cigarette Sticks Illegally Brought To The Country
Airport Customs officers have arrested
two Sri Lankan Nationals arrived in Katunayake, Bandaranaike Intetnatio nal Airport from Dubai today(31) with 13,000 cigarette sticks stored in 65 boxes in possession.
The two suspects who are residents of Ihala Kottaramulla and Colombo and of the ages 42 and 29 years were arrested while they have attempted to leave the Airport according to Police.
The estimated value of the Stock of Cigarette sticks taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs.650,000 it has been revealed.
The stock of Cigarette sticks had confiscated and the two suspects were released on bails of Rs.50,000 and Rs.10,000 respectively.

Four Females Including A Mother And Her Daughter Drowned In Gin River
Four females including a 39 year old
mother ,her daughter and two other girls had drowned while bathing in Gin River at Nugagala area at Hiniduma in Galle this afternoon(31).
Among the diseased were a mother ,her 14 year old daughter and daughter' s two friends of the age 14 years according to Hiniduma Police.
The bodies of the deceased had sent to the Hiniduma Hospital and Hiniduma Police are conducting an investigation over the incident
