Twenty Persons Were Injured Due To A Collision Between Seven Vehicles

Twenty Persons were injured and hospitalized after a

Container Truck coliding with six vehicles including three Three wheelers,Two Private Buses and a Lorry as a result of the disfunction of the truck's  break system at Galagedara on Kandy -Kurunagala main road this afternoon (28 ).

The injured including seven females were admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching and Galagedara Hospitals for treatment.

Police are conducting an investigation over the incident.

Eight Persons Including A Doctor,Bus Conductor And Two Businessmen Arrested Over Excavating A Tressure

Ududumbara Police have arrested eight persons

including a Doctor and a Bus Conductor while attempting to excavate a tressure at Bo mure in Hunnasgiriya,Ududumbara area last night (27).

Police have also taken into custody a Cab which the suspects have arrived in,An observing machine use to observe underground and religous goods brought by the suspects to use when excavating the tressure during the raid.

Among the suspects arrested by the Police are two Businessmen and a former Manager of Mahaweli Authority it has been revealed.

The suspects are due to be produced before the Theldeniya Magistrate Court .

Police Have Arrested A Person With A Haul Of Heroin

Police have arrested a person with 07 Grammes and

770 Mili Grammes of Heroin in his possession at Aramaduwawatte in Paliyagoda area.

The Paliyagoda District Crimes Division Police had arrested the suspect .

Suspect is due to be produced before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court.
