A Five Day Anti SAITM Protest March Due To Be Held From Peradeniya To Colombo

A five day Anti SAITM Students Protest march is due to
be held from Peradeniya to Colombo starting from tomorrow (31) at University Of Peradeniya according to the Inter University Students Federation.

The Protest March scheduled to be reached Colombo within five days.

Meanwhile University and Medical students have conducted a series of Anti SAITM protest campaigns in different parts of the country today (30) as well.

Sri Lanka To Provide Leadership To The Proposed SAARC Medical University

Sri Lanka is ready to provide complete leadership to
the proposed SAARC (South Asian Association For Regional Countries)Medical University due to be established in SAARC region according to the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

Minister has revealed on this during the SAARC Health Minister's Summit inaugurated in Mount Lavinia Hotel yesterday (29).

Health Ministers of the SAARC Countries had discussed on several health issues faced by the regional countries during yesterday's sessions.

Colombo Declaration which included the facts related to the Health Issues of the regional countries  had been adapted  at the end of the summit.

A 11 Hour Watet Cut Imposed In Several Areas In Western Province Since 8.A.m This Morning

A 11 hour water cut has been imposed in many areas
bel8nging to Ja Ela,Katunayake-Seeduwa ,Dompe and Gampaha pradeshiya sabha's and Biyagama free trade zone since 8 a.m this morning to 7 p.m due to an urgent repair work of Ceylon Electricity Board according to the National Water Supplies and Drainage Board.

Accordingly the water cut has been imposed in Kelaniya,Wattala,Mahara,Paliyagoda,Biyagama,Dekatana,Namaluwa,Weliweriya,Rathupaswala,Ihala yagoda and Pahala Yagoda areas.

Ambassador To USA Prasad Kariyawasam Appointed As The New Foreign Ministry Secretary

President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Sri
Lanka's Ambassador to USA Prasad Kariyawasam as the new Secretary to the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs yesterday (29).

The previous Foreign Ministry Secretary Asala Weerakoon has been appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry Of Tourism Promotion.
