Nepali President Bidhya Devi Bandari Arrived In Sri Lanka

Image result for BINDIYA DEVI BHANDARI arrived in sri lankaThe President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bandhari has arrived in Sri Lanka this morning(13) to attend the concluding ceremony of the United Nations Vesak Festival scheduled to be held in Kandy tomorrow(14).She is due to stay in Sri Lanka until the 16th of May.

The Nepali President had been welcomed at the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport by Ministers Thalatha Athukorale and Wijedasa Rajapakshe .

A Fire Erupted In A Rubber Factory In Maharagama Damaged Several Houses

Image result for fireSeveral houses have been damaged due to a sudden fire erupted in a Rubber Factory in Arawwala,Maharagama early this morning(13) it has been reported.

The Rubber Factory too severely damaged due to the fire which was doused by the fire brigade attached to the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Urban Council.

Two Young Female Motorcyclists Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Motorcycle-Jeep Collision

The injured ,one  critically admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital  for treatment it has been reported.

CID Has Launched An Investigation On The Hand Bomb Throwing Incident Towards SLMC

The Criminal Investigations Department(CID) Officials had launched an investigation on the Hand Bomb throwing incident towards the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC)premises in Colombo today(13) as per the instructions of the Western Provincial Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG) Nandana Munasinghe.

Accordingly CID Officials had visited the Sri Lanka Medical Council Office today and gathered   evidence on the incident it has been revealed.

As per the  preliminary investigations conducted on the incident  it has been revealed that the watcher of the Medical Council premises heard a sound of an object like a stone landed the premises but due to the dim lights prevailing at the time  he only searched on the incident this morning.

During the search the watcher had recovered the hand bomb and he has informed on the incident to Maradana Police it has been revealed.As per the instructions of  Maligakande Magistrate the Special Police Task Force Officers arrived in the scene and  defused the hand bomb.

Meanwhile Government Analyst too visited the scene and gathered evidence on the incident  this morning according to the sources.

Center Against Private Medical Collage And GMOA Had Condemned The Hand Bomb Throwing Incident Towards Medical Council Premises

The Center Against Private Medical Collage and the Government Medical Officers Association had today (13) severely condemned the throwing of a hand bomb to the Sri Lanka Medical Council premises in Colombo and requested the Police to nab the culprits and bring  them to justice with immediate effect.

The Center Against Private Medical Collage had also  requested the authorities to conduct an impartial and proper inquiry on the incident .It's an attack made against safeguarding quality of the Medical field the Center has stressed.

Meanwhile the Government Medical Officers Association has stated that the Central Committee of the Association will meet this Monday(15) to decide the  future course of action should be taken regarding this attack .

If the authorities fails  to arrest the culprits  who had thrown the hand bomb towards the Medical Council premises with immediate effect the executive committee of the Government Medical Officers Association will  meet this Monday (15) to discuss on the attack  and the Central Committee will plan the future course of action against the attack during it's meeting  on 22nd of May the Association has announced.
