Aroumd 42 Houses In Vavuniya Damaged Due To The Strong Winds

Around 42 houses in three villages belonging  to
the Vavuniya District (Northern  Province)damaged and seven houses  completely destroyed due to the strong winds experienced last night (09) the Disaster Management Center has stated .

Accordingly houses belonging to sinnakkulam,Kaaththar and Thelkilippukulam villages
Damaged as a Result of the winds .

More than 150 persons have been affected due to the winds the Center has stressed .

A Russian National Was Arrested In Ella Area While Staying In The Country Without Visas

Related imageElla Police have arrested a Russian National while staying in Sri Lanka without visas near the Ella Train station it has been reported.

The 38 year old Russian National had been remanded until 11th of April after being produced before the Bandarawela Magistrate Court.

Three Persons Killed And Another Was Injured Due To A Three Wheeler-Tipper Collision

Related imageThree persons of the same family including a father and daughter and other female were killed and one was injured and hospitalized after the three wheeler they were traveling in colliding with a Tipper Truck in Boyagane (North Western Province) on Colombo-Kurunagala main road are early this morning(10).

The injured female had been admitted to the Kurunagala Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The deceased including the 26 year old father , his one and half year old daughter and another femaled of the same family had been identified as the residents of Inamaluwa area.

Two were killed and one was injured
and hospitalized due to a three wheeler -Lorry collision in kongasdeniya area on Kandy-Colombo road yesterday (09).

The three critically injured persons were admitted to wathupitiwala hospital and two have succumbed to their injuries there.Other person had been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further  treatment.

The deceased had been identified as residents of Angoda and kerawalapitiya areas.
