A 19 Year Old Teenager Arrested With RS.19,500 Worth Fake Currency Notes

Police Special task force personal have arrested a 19 year old teenager with
 with RS.19,500 worth fake currency notes and a laptop which used to design fake notes in his possession in guragoda,Horana area.

The Laptop in possession of the suspect belongs to the brother of him attached to the computer section in Sri Lanka Army it has been revealed.

The suspect along with the fake currency notes and a laptop in his possession were handed over to the Horana Police for further investigations .

MP Weerawansha Had Been Further Remanded By The Colombo Fort Magistrate

Colombo Fort Magistrate Court has today (03) further remanded the imprisoned Joint Opposition MP Wimal Weerawansha until 07th of April .

Earlier the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne had refused the bail application submitted behalf of the imprisoned MP who is now in Colombo National Hospital as the bail application did not indicated the health condition of MP's daughter although the application requested the Court to release the MP citing his daughter's poor health condition.

MP Weerawansha did not produced before the court today during the proceeding of his case ,

An 18 Hour Long Water Cut To Be Imposed In Most Areas In Colombo Tomorow(04)

water cut සඳහා පින්තුර ප්‍රතිඵලAn 18 hour long water cut is announced for tomorrow(04) from 9 a.m in areas close to the Kelaniya Bridge and Baseline Road in Dematagoda Junction at Colombo due to a maintenance work of the Ambathale Water Purification plant according to the National Water Supplies And Drainage Board.

The water cut will also affect to the roads Thotalanga,Kosgashandiya Junction,Mahawatte and Granspass the Board has stated.

All Faculties Of Peradeniya University Closed Down Indefinitely Due To A Viral Flu

Peradeniya University Authorities have today(03) closed down all the faculties of the University indefinitely due to the spreading of a viral flu suspected as H1N1 Influenza among the University students according to the Vice Chancellor  Professor Upul Dissanayake.

අදාළ රූපයAccording to the reports 30% of the 4000 students residing in University's hostels are suffering from the viral flu and more than 500 University Students today itself received  treatment from the University medical center for the flu.

All the university hostel students are being informed to vacate the hostels by 12 noon today in order to control the spreading of the flu.

Two faculties of the Ruhuna University too closed recently due to the spreading of the viral flu.
