Government Radiographers Threatened To Strike Against Fake Health Workers In Private Hospitals

Government Radiographers Union has today
(02)threatened to launch an island wide strike action  if the health ministry officials fail to take an  action against fake Radiographers and other Professions supplamentary to medicine attached to private hospitals during this week.

As an incident report from a private medical center in a kandy near the temple of the sacred tooth  relic  dalada maligawa few days ago ,where  the radiographer attached to the medical center naked a female who under went a scan test and video her through his mobile phone, this kind of incidents should be avoided by cancelling the licences of private hospitals which getting the services of this kind of fake health workers  according to the president of the Radiographers Union Darmakeerthi Epa.

The suspected  Radiographer who didn't even follow a Radiographers diploma course had been arrested after the incident but released later  on bail after appeared before the court.

This was the second time that this person attempted to abuse  a female during a scan test and the  authorities
should punish  the person without any  delay he has stressed .

Otherwise it will badly affect the real Radiographers in government hospitals he said.

Two Police Officers Were Suspended Over Assaulting A Motorcyclist

Authorities have suspended the services
of  Police Constable and a Sargent attached to the Dodangoda Police station in Kalutara over brutally assaulting a youth motorcyclist in Dodangoda Junction .

The injured motorcyclist had been admitted to the Nagoda Hospital for treatment .

The two suspended police officers assaulted the motorcyclist after he straight away riding his motorcycle without considering police orders and not possess a driving licence at the time if the incident .

The Police Officers had been suspended as per the report of the investigation carried out on the incident .

Government Hospital Nurses ,Professions Supplementary To Medicine And Paramedics To Strike On Thursday (06)

Nurses,Professions supplementary to medicine and para medical officers
 attached to the government hospitals are due to launch an island wide one day token strike on this  Thursday (06) by demanding solutions for eight of their service demands the Joint Confederation of Nurses ,Professions Supplementary to Medicine and Para Medics has stated .

Due to humanatarian grounds  the strike will not be implemented  in Children's hospital Borella ,Castle street,De soyza ,Cancer ,and Peradeniya childrens  hospitals the president of the Joint Confederation Saman ratnapriya has stressed.

The emergancy treatment services will be maintained during the strike period from 8 a.m on Thursday to 8 a. m on Friday as usual he has stated .

The island wide one day strike will be launched demanding solutions for eight of the service demands including paying over time payments as per the salary increase,Amending the current promotion system of health professionals and granting a duty free vehicle permit to Government Nurses,Professions Supplementary to Medicine and Para Medics Ratnapriya has further stated.

Veteran popular local singer Vivienne de Silva boralessa has passed away this morning(02) after brief illness .

A Sudden Fire Erupted In Narahenpita Economic Center

A sudden fire had erupted in the
special economic center in Narahenpita this noon .

Fire brigade is engaged in dousing the fire.The cause for the fire and the damage done to the center not yet been revealed .
