Navy Along With Police Narcotic Bureau Officials Arrested A Person With Four Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis

Officials attached to the Navy intelligance

unit along with Police Narcotic Bureau officials in Mannar had arrested a person with four kilo grammes of Kerala Cannabis  in his possession in Mannar bus station today (01).

The 44 year old suspect who is a resident of Mannar believed to be arrived from Kalpitiya through a private bus,

A Three Wheeler Driver Was Killed And Two Others Injured Due To A Road Accident

A three wheeler driver was killed and two others in

the three wheeler were injured and hospitalized after the three wheeler they were travelling in toppled over due to high speed and collided with a culvert near the Eravur-Kaluvankeni road today (01)according to the Police.

The three persons including the driver of  the Three Wheeler critically injured and admitted to the Eravur-Sandiveli hospital where the 22 year old driver was succumbed to his injuries .

The deceased had been identified as a 22 year resident of Kaluvankeni area.

A Cyclist Was Killed Due To A Push Bicycle-Tipper Truck Collision

A 53 year old Cyclist was killed as the push bicycle he

was riding in collided with a tipper truck on Dankotuwa-Katukenda junction on Dankotuwa-Naththandiya main road today(01)

The critically injured cyclist who was a resident of Dankotuwa-Katukenda area succumbed to his injuries after  admission to the Dankotuwa Hospital.

A Six Member Committee Had Been Appointed To Probe On The Death Of A Student In Matara

Acting Director General of Health Services Dr.Jayasundara Bandara

 had appointed a Committee comprised of six medical consultants to probe on the death of a student attached to a school in Matara (Southern Province) who died  after swallowing a ferrous sulphate tablet (Use to treet Anemia )supplied to the school few days ago.

The report of the probe due to be received within a week  according to Dr.Bandara.
