Ten Nigerian Nationals Arrested And Remanded Over Cheating More Than Twenty Million From Local Businessmen

Criminal Investigations Department
(CID) officers  had arrested  ten Nigerian nationals who had  cheeted over RS.twenty  million from bank accounts belonging to the local businessmen .

The suspects who had  cheeted money from the  local businessmen after built friendships with them through the social media it has been revealed .

The suspects who were residing in Dehiwala ,Malabe and Mount Lavinia  areas arrived in Sri Lanka through tourist visas  for education and business purposes .

They were remanded until 02nd of March after being produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate Court.

Three Persons Arrested With Over Four Kilos Of Kerala Cannabis In Trincomalee

The Anti Poison Unit of the Trincomalee
Division had arrested three persons with over four kilos of Kerala Cannabis in their possession yesterday(18) in Kinniya,
 Trincomalee.

The suspects had been identified as residents of Kinniya and Muththur areas and they were handed over to the Kinniya Police for further investigations .

Three Army Officers Arrested Over The Assault Of Former Deputy Editor Of Nation Paper Remanded

Three Army Officers including a Army Major arrested over the abduction and
 assault of former deputy editor of the Nation Paper Keith Noyar  had been remanded until 23 rd of February by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate yesterday (18) evening.

The suspects  who were arrested by the special investigations unit of criminal investigations department (CID)produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate yesterday evening .
