Two Were Injured Due To A Dimo Truck-Three Wheeler Collision On A-9 Road

Two were injured due to a Dimo Batta Mini Truck-Three Wheeler collision occurred infront of the Vavuniya Airforce Base on Jaffna-Kandy A-9 Road in Jaffna today(09) according to reports.

As a result of the collision the Dimo Truck was veered off the road and crashed into a nearby fence belonging to a house it has been reported.The two vehicles damaged as a result of the accident.

Vavuniya Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

A French National Had Arrested With Hashish Narcotic In His Possession

Matara Police have arrested a 25 year old French National with 6 Grammes and 720 Mili Grammes of Hashish Narcotic in his possession during a raid carried out in Polhena,Matara(Southern Province) today(09).

The suspect is due to be produced before Matara Magistrate Court today.

A Motor Cycle Rider Was Killed And Another Injured Due To A Collision Of Two Motor Cycles

A Motor Cycle rider was killed and other rider was

critically injured and hospitalized after two Motor Cycles colliding each other on Chilaw-Kurunagala Road yesterday (08).

The critically injured Motor Cycle riders were admitted to the Chilaw Hospital for treatment and one rider has succumbed to his injuries  after admission to the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as a 19 year old youth.

The other rider was transfered to Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.

Chilaw Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

An Organized Gang Had Damaged Four Buddhist Statues In Trincomalee

An organized gang had severely damaged four

historical Buddhist Statues located in four places at Trincomalee District (Eastern Province)in wee hours  of 07th of January (saturday)and 08th of January (sunday)it has been reported.

Accordingly  gangs damaged the Buddhist statues located in Uppuveli -Wilgamvehera ,,Morawewa,Gomarankadawela and Pulmudai areas according to Police.

Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.
