Colombo District MP Hirunika Premachandre Has Been Arrested By Colombo Crimes Division Over An Abduction And Later Released On Bail

Image result for hirunika arrestedColombo District Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandre  has been arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division this morning per the instructions of Attorney General over an abduction of a Youth in Dematagoda(In Colombo District) and threatened him .

After being produced before the Colombo Magistrate Court MP Premachandra has been released on two personal  bails worth Rs.100,000 each.

Police have earlier sought the advise of Attorney General's Department on the arrest of MP Premachandra as according to the Police a sufficient evidence have found on her involvement of the alleged abduction  of a 34 year old man in Dematagoda over a dispute of another family.

The abduction has been done by using MP Premachandre's Land Rover  Defender Vehicle and a group of her security personal have been arrested earlier and remanded over the incident.Later the security personal have been released on bail.

The case regarding the abduction is due to hear on 12th Of January.

New Rail Bus Service To Be Launched With Effect From 18th Of January In Colombo

Sri Lanka Railways Department has decided to launch a Rail Bus Service from Kosgama (In Western Province) to Homagama and Maharagama  with effect from 18th of January.

Under this  Rail Bus Service two rail buses will travel five times daily   from Kosgama to Homagama and Maharagama  according to the Railways Department.

This Rail Bus Service will be launched for the benefit of people travelling to Homagama and Maharagama Cancer Hospitals  and for school children the Railways Department has stated.

Fifty One Dengue Patients Have Been Reported From Colombo City During The Weak

Image result for dengue mosquitoFifty One Suspected Dengue Patients have been reported from Colombo City during the Period 01st of January to 08th of January(Today) this year according to the Chief Medical Officer Of Colombo Dr.Ruwan Wijemuni. 

The Majority of these Patients are children under 10 years of age Dr.Wijemuni has said.

The Public Health Department of the Colombo Municipal Council has launched a three day Dengue Control Programme since yesterday (07) within the Colombo City Limits to inspect and destroy dengue mosquito breading places in premises.

The Colombo Chief Medical Officer has requested the public to clean their environment in both in and around the houses and gardens in view of preventing  creating of  dengue mosquito breeding places in their premises.
