An Island wide curfew is currently

being imposed in 24 districts with effect from 8 p.m yesterday (16) except Colombo and Gampaha districts where the curfew is already being imposed to avoid spreading Corona virus according to the Government sourcces .

The Curfew in other districts except in Colombo and Gampaha Districts is scheduled to be lifted at 5 a.m on Monday (18) and then until next Saturday it will be re imposed from 8 p.m to 5 a.m daily .

Curcew imposed in Colombo and Gampaha Districts to continue untill further notice it has been revealed .

22 Corona Positives Reported Today (16)-Total Number Increased To 957

22 Corona virus positives had been

reported during today (16)upto 11.30 p.m ,increasing the total number of Corona positives in the country to 957 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

14 out of the 22 Corona positives reported from today were Navy personal it has been revealed .

At the moment 428 Corona virus positives are being treated in Government Hospitals it has been revealed .

A Sri Lankan Airlines Flight Brought Back 235 Sri Lankans Stranded In Japan

Sri Lankan Airlines flight had brought

back 235 Sri lankans stranded in Japan due to the Corona Pandamic ,to Sri lanka in the wee hours of this morning (16).

The Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL-455 had brought back these Sri lankan nationals from Narita International Airport ,Tokyo ,Japan .

After the group of passangers and their luggage had been disinfected and the Airport health office had checked their health status tney were sent to Quarantime centers through special Army Buses .
