No Corona Virus Positives Reported Today (16)-Total Remains As 238

Not a single  Corona Virus Positive case
has been reported from the Island today (16)up to 12 in the midnight according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positive cases that are reported from the country remains as 238 .Five corona virus positives had been reported yesterday (15) and four of them were identified at quarantine centers and one of them at Colombo National Hospital the Health Ministry has announced .

The 238 th Corona virus positive who had been identified whilst receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital last night was a 59 year old female resident of Kotahena area who had returned from India recently .

Meanwhile 163 Corona virus positives are being currently received treatment at four Government hospitals under close medical supervision .

Majority of the reported Corona virus positives which is 49 had been reported from Colombo district . 

161 Corona Suspected Cases Are Being Treated At 25 Governnent Hospitals

According to the latest report issued by
the Epidemeology Unit 161 Corona virus suspected cases are being treated at 25 Government Hospitals by this noon (16).

Out of them  160 are Sri lankans and 01 patient is a foreign national .Majority of these patients are being treated at Kotte Sri Jayawardhanapura Teaching (20),Homagama Base(20) and Welikanda Base (19)hospitals .

Another five corona virus positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals  today (16) according to the Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of corona virus positive patients  that are fully recovered and discharged from hospitals up to now is 68. .
