Former CID Director SSP Shani Abeysekare Is Due To Appear Before CID On Thursday(23)

Former Director Of the Criminal

Investigations Department (CID) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shani Abeysekare is scheduled to be appeared before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters to give a statement regarding the Swiss Embassy visa officer's abduction case CID had today (21)informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate Court.

CID had informed the Court that former CID Director SSP Abeysekare , OIC NiShantha De Silva who had fled away to Switzerland ,Darsha Bastia
N and Krishantha coorey attached to Lake House had phoned the Swiss visa officer Garnia Bannister Francis on several occasions in last November.

The Swiss visa officer who is currently on bail is being charged over making false accusations against white van abduction .

Judicial. Services Commission Interdicted High Court Judge Gihan Pilaptop b

Judicial Services Commission had today

(21)interdicted the Embilipitiya High Court Judge Gihan Pilapitiya from his service regarding the controversial telephone conversations he has said to be had with Remanded UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake even before ascertain the conversations in.the leaked audio clips were of them .

Colombo Crimes Division had recorded a statement from High Court Judge Pilapitiya regarding these telephone conversations two days back .

Judicial Service Commission not only interdicted the well known High Court Judge Pilapitiya from his service without a preliminary investigations on those telephone conversations but also semt their recommendations regarding the Judge to President Gotabaya Rajapakshe .

Government Analyst still investigating on the voices of the leaked audio clips containing the telephone conversations between MP Ramanayake and several higher officials.

Mean while a politically motivated group or a person pasted a poster in walls at Town Hall today naming the well known retired High Court Judge Padmini Ranawake who was charged over having telephone conversations with MP Ramanayake on court cases ,as "murderer Judge ".

However these politically motivated slaves who are going after corrupted politicians never barked on Drug smuggling thieves and murdering /Drug Smugglers .

Today (21) is the 73rd birthday of the Sinhala Cinema. Every year the National Film Corporation hosts a function or screening a yesteryear film on behalf of it.

However this year (2020) there's no such event or a film screening to commemorate it.perhaps for the first time in History this has happened .
