A Couple Arrested With 72 Packettes Of Heroin In Possession At Tissamaharamaya

Police have arrested a drug smuggling

couple with 72 packettes of Heroin in their possession during a search operation carriedout at their rental house at Akuregoda ,Tissamaharamaya last morning (03).

Police officers attached to special Anti Crimes Corruption Flying squad in Tissamaharamaya  and Kirinda Police  had recovered the Heroin packettes hidden inside their cloths during the search operation .

The couple reported as taking  the Heroin packettes to Kirinda area and selling them for fishermen for Rs.1000-1500 per pack.

They are due to be produced before Tissamsharama Magistrate Court .

Magisterial.Inquiry Of The Four Deceased Airforce Personal Held At Badulla hospital

The bodies of four Airforce personal

who had been killed due to the light Aircraft crash at Haputhale yesterday (03)had brought to the Badulla General Hospital last evening for the post mortem .

The Magisterial Inquiry of the deceased had carriedout by the Bandarawela Magistrate Keerthi Kumburuhena yesterday at the Hospital.Governmemt analyst had also inquired on the incident .

ThevBodies of the deceased Airforce personal are due to be handed over to tbeir relatives today (04).

Seven Persons Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Lorry-Bus Collision

Seven persons had been injured some

of them critically and hospitalized due to a Lorry -Bus collision occurred near a quarry at Bathalayaya area on Mahiyanganaya -Dalukana road last evening (03).

The injured including six travelled in the Bus and the Lorry driver had been admitted to the Mahiyanganaya Base Hospital for treatment .

The Bus conductor is among the injured and the Bus driver reported as missing affer the incident.

The incident occurred when the high speed Bus collided with the rear part of the lorry travelling from Mahiyanganaya to Dehiattakandiya area whilst  attempting  to turn from  the junction it had been revealed.

Police had launched a search operation to arrest the dissapeared Bus Driver .

Three vehicles including a Three wheeler,Motorcycle and a Tipper Truck  colliding with each other near ipilissa bridge on Moronthuduwa -Bandaragama Road last evening (03)

The four  critically injured  persons including three travelled in the Three Wheeler and the Motorcyclist had succumbed tbeir injuries afer being admitted to Gonaduwa and Kalutara Nagoda Hospitals .

Moronthuduwa Police had arrested the Tipper truck driver over the incident .
