Court Ordered Swiss Embassy To Hand Over Mobile Phones And Sim Cards Of Local Visa Officer And Her Husband

Colombo Magistrate court had

yesterday (19)ordered the officials of the Swiss Embassy in Colombo to hand over two mobile phones and two sim cards belonging  to the local Visa officer
Attached to the Swiss Embassy Garnia Bannister Francis who is in remand and her husband to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for the investigations that are being  carried out   regarding the abduction of the visa officer.

Meanwhile Garnia francis had undergone a physchiatric examination for the second time at National Mental Health Institute in Angoda yesterday before a team of Physchiatrists .

Consumer Affairs Authority Issued A Gazette Notification

Consumer Affairs Authority had issued a Gazette Notification midnight today (19) by imposing a maximum retail control price for Samba and Nadu rice with immediate accordance to the Authority .

Fprmer Minister Patali Ranawake Had Been Remanded Until 24th

Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawake who had been arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) officers last night (18) at his residence had been remanded by the Colombo Chief Magistrate this morning (19) until 24 th of December after being  produced him before the Magistrate Court.

Former Minister Ranawake who was one of the key figures in former Good Governance government that criticized current Premier Rajapakshe and his brother who is the president of Sri Lanka over involving  in corrupt activities ,had been arrested and remanded until this morning by the Colombo Additional Magistrate last night over producing false facts regarding an accident occurred in Rajagiriya three years ago 

Former Minister Ranwake's lawyers had submitted a Bail application behalf of their client ,However it was rejected by the Magistrate it has been revealed.

The case regarding the accident occurred in Rajagiriya three years back had concluded according to the opposition sources .

Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka Remanded Until Tomorrow(19)

Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka who had been arrested few hours ago over an accident occurred at Rajagiriya area by Colombo crimes Division  in 2016,had been remanded until tomorrow(19)after been produced before the Colombo Fort chief Magistrate court .

The former minister had been produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Court around 9.30 p.m .

However media was not allowed to enter the court premises to cover the court proceedings .
