Three Persons Arrested With 350 Ilegal Cigarette Cartons

.along with Police officers attached to Police Anti Corruption unit have arrested three persons whilst transporting 350 illegal cigarette cartons containing 7000 cigarette sticks by a motor car from Galle to Hambanthota at Sippikulama ,Hambanthota today (13).

The stock of Illegal Cigarette cartons had been transported to hand over them to a smuggler in Hambanthota area it has been revealed .

The suspects and the stock of ilegal cogarette cartons had been handed over to the Hambanthota police for further investigations

NBRO Issued Landslide Warnings To Three Areas In Badulla

National Building Research
Organization (NBRO)
 had issued stage one Landslide warnings to three Divisional Secretariets in Badulla District following heavy showers previled in Central hill areas  during last few days .

NBRO has issued the landslide warnings to Hadummulla ,Passara and Ella Divisionl secretariets it has been revealed .

People in these areas should
 be vigilant over lanslide signs according to Disaster Management Center .

A Person Was Arrested With 17 Gold Biscuits At The Katunayake Airport

Airport Police Anti Narcotic Bureau
officials had today (13)arrested a 33 year old Sri Lankan National who had attempted to smuggle 17 Gold Biscuits weighing 1 Kilo  and 700 grammes illegally to the country at the Departure lounge of the Katunayake International Airport .

The suspect who is attached to a Mobile Phone Sales shop at Saunders place ,Negambo had been arrested whilst leaving the Airport it has been revealed .
The Suspect had arrived in from Dubai through Fly Dubai flight it has been revealed .

Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials have handed over the suspect along with the stock of Gold Biscuits to Airport customs for further investigations.

The customs have confiscated the Gold Biscuits worth around Rs.10.36 million and imposed Rs.1 million fine on the suspect .
