Railway Trade Unions To Launch A Two Day Railway Strike From Wednesday (19)

Several Railway Trade Unions have

decided to launch a two day island wide strike from midnight on this Wednesday (19) Demanding solutions for several service demands .

Accordingly Engine Drivers, Station Masters and Railway Controllers are due to be participated the strike the Train Engine Drivers Union has announced.

Forner Western Province Governor Azath Sally Had Given a Statement To CID

Azath Sally had given a statement to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday (14)for nearly two hours over a complaint made against him by The convener of the "Sathya Gaveshakayo" Organizatuon Attorney at law premanath Daluwatte to the Police Headquarters.

The complaint was made over a statement made by Former Governor Sally on the Easter Sunday attacks during a press briefing held in Colombo on 04 th of May .

M.L.A.M. Hisbulla had today (15)given an eight hour statement to the Terrorism Investigations Division (TID)over an investigations carried out TID regarding a suspicious meeting he had with two Arab Nationals at 10 p.m in a Hotel at Pasikuda during a Police curfew on 22nd of April.

The former Eastern Province Governor who had arrived at TID at 9.45 a.m this morning (15)had left around 5.45 p.m this evening according to Police Media Spokesman S office .

TID had requested Hisbulla to appear before it to question regarding an investigations underway
on his meeting with two Arab Nationals held a day after Easter Sunday attacks on 21st of April .
