Fast To Death Campaign At Moratuwa Municipal Council Had Ended






The fast to death campaign launched by
four persons including The Mayor of Moratuwa Municipal Council and a Carpenter in front of the council opposing the statement made by President Maithripala Sirisena regarding the banning of Carpentry sheds had Ended  today (12)after issuing of a letter signed by State Minister of Finance Eran Wikramaratna stating government will improve   the carpentry  industry .

The letter was issued following the discussions held between Moratuwa Municipal Council members and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe .State Minister of Finance Eran Wikramaratna had also attended the discussions.

Studentship Of Five Japura University Students Temporarily Suspended




University Authorities have suspended
the studentship of five Students attached to Sri Jayawardanapura University in Kotte temporarily today (12 )over assaulting a fellow student.

The student was assaulted over opposing a ragging incident of the university it has been revealed. 

A Person Was Arrested With 12 Grammes Of Heroin



Police officers attached to Anti
Corruption Unit in Panadura Valana Division have arrested a 58 year old person with around 12 Grammes of Heroin in possession near the Black bridge in Ja-Ela yesterday (11).

The suspect who is a resident of Ja-Ela area is due to be produced before Wattala Magistrate Court .

Police Headquarters Had Received 21 Complaints Against Baduideen ,Sally And Hisbulla


   
Police Headquarters have received 21 complaints against Former Minister Rishad Baduideen and two Former Governors Azath Sally and M.L.A.M Hisbulla by 3.p.m today  (12 )the deadline given to make complaints against them according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .
       
Out of these complaints 14 had been submitted against Former Minister Baduideen and 05 and 02 complaints had been received against Former Governors Sally and Hisbulla respectively SP Gunasekare had stressed.

Among complaints made there were 02 complaints made against all three of them it has been revealed. By yesterday (11)only 11 complaints had  been received and today another 10 complaints were received by the police Headquarters.

After All Muslim Cabinet ,State and Deputy Minister's  resigming  from their Portfolios on 03 Rd of June as a result of the Fasting campaign of Athuraliye Rathana Thero ,public have been requested to make complaints against them if there were  any .




Fifteen pre-school had been injured three of them critically after a branch of an ancient Bo tree had fallen over them whilst obtaining sil (Meditation)in front of a Bo tree at Pahamule in Narammala area (North Western province ) this morning (12).

The three critically injured children had been admitted to Kurunagala Teaching Hospital and Twelve others had been admitted to Narammala District Hospital for treatment .

The Branch Falken over the previous school children had belongs to a 100 year old Bo Tree it has been revealed .

Two mothers who had attempted to save the children at the time of the incident had received minor injuries. Teachers of the pre-school and the mothers of the children
