Speaker Fixed Two Dates To Hold The Debate On No Confidence Motion Against Minister Baduideen

Parliament Speaker Karu Jayasuriya
has today  (23)announced in Parliament that 18th and 19th of June as the dates which the no confidence motion submitted against Minister Rishad Baduideen  taken in to debate .

However Joint Opposition Group has opposed the naming of those dates to hold the debate and stated the party leaders meeting held to fix a date for the debate has been ended without an agreement.

Meanwhile A 12 member parliamentary select committee has been appointed to probe on the charges levelled against Minister Baduideen headed by Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri. Speaker Jayasuriya has today informed the Parliament on the members of this committee.

Cabinet Approved A Proposal TO BUILD Two Flyover Bridges

Cabinet has given approval to a
proposal submitted by Minister of road and road developing Kabir Hashim to build two flyover bridges in Kohuwala and Gatambe junctions as a solution for the heavy traffic prevailing in these areas .

These flyover bridges are due to be built through Hungarian government's aid funds and Cabinet has awarded  A Hungarian company to build the two flyover bridges with the cost of Euro 52 million .
