12 Bangladeshi Nationals With Fake Visas And 04 Nigerian Nationals Without Visas Arrested In Colombo

Department officials have arrested 12 Bangladeshi Nationals who have stayed in Sri Lanka without fake visas and Police have arrested 04 Nigerian Nationals whilst staying in the country without visas in Mount Lavinia.

Accordingly Immigration and Emigration officials have arrested three 12 Bangladeshi Nationals with fake visas in a Shoe factory at Western Province. The suspected Bangladeshi Nationals are being questioned at Miri hana detention center .

Criminal Investigations Unit of the Mount Lavinia Police have arrested 04 Nigerian Nationals of the ages 33,36 and 38 years near the flyover bridge in Dehiwala area .They are due to be produced befire the court. 

A Person Was Killed And Another Critically Injured Due To A Brawl At Koswatta Area

A 50 year old person was killed due to
cut injuries and 54 year old retired Army soldier had been critically injured and hospitalized following a brawl erupted at Morakale area in Kottaramulla, Koswatta (North Western Province ) yesterday  (13) it has been reported .

Around 06 houses had been damaged due to the incident and Koswatta Police have arrested 22 persons over the incident from Kottaramulla area today 14).

As a protest against these arrests residents of the area along with some Buddhist Monks had surrounded the Koswatta Police and launched a protest campaign it has been revealed.

Riot Police along with Special Police Task Force Personal are currently involved in providing  security in the area .

The person that was killed during yesterday's brawl incident in Koswatta had been identified as Mohommad Sali Amir and the critically injured is a retired Army soldier Samage Gunasinghe according to reports.

Government Issued An Extra Ordinary Gazette Notification To Ban Three Extremist Organization's Including National Jamaath Over Easter Sunday Bombings

Government has issued an extra
ordinary Gazette Notification last night (13)banning three Extremist groups namely National Thowheed ,Jamaathei Millathu Fee Ibrahim and Vilayan SeylanI organization's legally  over Easter Sunday attacks .

The Gazette Notification has been issued fifteen days after the Easter Sunday bombings which killed more than 250 persons on 21 st of April.

Easier president Maithripala Sirisena has announced that these organization's are banned here however no Gazette Notification had been issued in this regard .

Under the Gazette Notification issued yesterday all movable and imovable assets of the three extremist groups had  been banned .

Mahason.Balakaya Leader Amith Weeeasinghe And Namal Kumara Arrested Over Tense Situation Occurred In.Some Places

Police Headquarters have arrested the Leader of the Facebook group "Mahason Balakaya " Amith Weeeasinghe and the Operations director of Anti Corruption Force Namal Kumara at ThelDeniya  (Kandy)and Warakapola areas respectively today (14)over incidents occurred in Kuliyapitiya and few other places during last two days .

Mahason Balakaya leader Amith Weeeasinghe who was also responsible for racism Violances Occured at DeEgan a and ThelDeniya in March last year had been arrested and remanded over these incidents and released on bail by Kandy High Court seven months ago it has been revealed.

Suspect Namal Kumara who had become a controversial character in the society recently after revealing an   Assasination plot of VIP's including President Maithripala Sirisena had been arrested by Special Police team when he arrived at Warakapola Police to make a complaint.

Namal Kumara is also related to President'  Sirisena's AntI  Narcotic Programme it has been revealed.

Both suspects are due to be produced before the court .

Meanwhile one of the officials of Pivithuru Hela Urumaya singer Madumadhawa Aravinda had seen at one of the locations where violent activities erupted yesterday according to reports .

The curfew imposed in North western province since last noon had been lifted at 4 p.m this evening (14) and re impoised at 6 p.m .It is due to be lifted at 6 a.m tomorrow morning (15) according to police.
