Heavy Traffic Occurred In Southern Expressway Last Night(14)Due To A Collision Among 09 Vehicles

The heavy traffic occurred in Southern

Expressway last night (14)for few hours caused due to a Collision among 09 vehicles near 57th post between Welipanna and Kurundugahahsthapma it has been reported.

All the vehicles which  subjected to the collission had been damaged,But no casualties had been reported due to the incident according to sources.

The incident occurred when a Motor Car suddently stopped the vehicle in mid of the expressway.

A Person Was Arrested With Heroin In Magazine Prison

Prison authorities have arrested a 24

year old person who has arrived in Magazine Prison at Borella to see a prison inmate there with  more than 44 Grammes of Heroin in his possession   yesterday (14).

The suspect who is a resident of Maligawatta area is due to be produced before Maligakanda Magistrate Court.

Four Persons Of A Same Family Injured Due To A Road Accident

Four persons of a same family

including Mother ,Father and two children had been injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in veering off the road and toppled over as a result of colliding with a soil mound at Kotagala area on Nuwara -Eliya-Hatton road this morning(15)

The injured had been admitted to Kotagala Government District Hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred as the Three Wheeler driver  fallen a sleep whilst on the wheel according to Dimbula-Pathana Police .

Police have appealed the drivers to take a break and drive if there's a sleepy feeling when rltravelling through up country roads to avoid accidents .
