A Primary School In Mawanella Was Closed Down Due To A Provoking Of Wasps

Baddawala Primary School in
Mawanalla area had been closed down today (02) due to a provoking of a nest of Wasps located in a roof of a school building .

The studies of the primary school was disrupted yesterday (01) as well due to the provoking of Wasps in the nest .

School authorities have informed an Organization formed to protect bees over the incident ,However no one in the Organization had arrived in the scene it has been revealed..

Sri Lanka Cricket Board Imposed A US Dollars 7500 Fine On Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne

Sri Lankan Cricket Board has imposed
US Dollars 7500 fine over Sri Lankan Test Cticket Captain Dimuth  Karunaratne for involving in a Road Accident under the Influence of liquor recently .

According to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board the amount of the fine is equal to the Fee paid for the cricketer for  a Test Match.

Dimuth Karunarane had been arrseted by  the Borella Police last Sunday(31) over the accident which injured a Three Wheeler driver at Horton place junction in Kinsey Road,Borella .He was later released on police bail and
released  on two surety bails after being appeared before  the court .

Deceased Underworld Gang Leader's Son Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin

A son of the deceased under world gang
leader Soththi Upali ,41 year old A.D.Lakshitha Prasanna had been arrested with 2.549 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in his possession at Thuduwamulla in Katubadda-Moratumulla by the police officers attached to Colombo District Anti Corruption Unit today(02).

 Police officers have also taken in to custody a repeater type Firearm in possession of the suspect according to Police Media Spokesman's office.

The suspect along with the haul of Heroin and the Repeater firearm had been handed over to Moratummulla Police for further action.

The suspect who is a resident of Rawathawatta,Moratuwa is  due to be produced before Moratuwa Msgistrate court tomorrow(03)by the Moratumulla Police.

Power Cut Crisis-Nine Ceylon Electricity Board Officials Have Been Requested To Appear Before Colombo Fort Magistrate on 09 Th

Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Disanayake has today (02) issued  summons to Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) offocials to aappear before the Magistrate Court on 09th of April over not providing time schedule reports and details of Power cuts imposed by CEB since May 2018  to the Public Utilities Commission .

Public Utlitues Commission has filed a court case against the  Electricity Board at Colombo Fort Magistrate Court naming 09 officials including it's Chairman as respondents .

As The Commission has no power to request the CEB Officials to appear before Commission under the Public Utilities Act ,Colombo Chief Magistrate Dissanayake has issued summons to the officials to appear before the court to hearing the facts regarding allegations .
