Former Colombo Mayor Has Been Appointed As The Chairman Of Central Enviornment Authority

Former Colombo Mayor A.J.M

Musammil has been appointed as the Chairman of Central Enviornment Authority by the President Maithripala Sirisena today (11).

He was previrusly served as the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Malaysia .

Meanwhile President has appointed former Governors NILuka Ekanayska and Reginald Cooray as heads of State Timber Corporation and Gem and Jewelry Authority recently.

Two Non Cabinet Ministers And A Deputy Minister Had Been Sworn In

Two Non Cabinet Ministers and a

Deputy Minister Had been sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena this morning (11)at President's office in Colombo .

Accordingly Ravindra Samaraweera had been sworn in as Non Cabinet Minister of Labor and Trade Union Relations ,Leader of the Tamil Progressive Alliance V. Radha Krishnan had beven sworn in as Non Cabinet Mimister of Provincial Development and Abdullah Maharoof had been sworn in as Deputy Minister of Ports and Shipping.

Meanwhile the Labor and Trade Union Relations Portfolio held by Minister Daya Gamage had been removed from him and handed over to the non Cabinet Minister Ravindra Samaraweera .

Now Minister Daya Gamage holds Social Empowerment portfolio .

A Body Of A Tusker Killed For Removing Tusks Had Been Recovered

A body of a Tusker around 20 years old

killed by an indïvidual or a group of persons had been recovered at Aralaganvila area this morning (11)Wild Life officers .

The Tusker who was a frequent visitor arrived in Aralaganvila area from Maduru Oya reserve ,Had been shot at his head and killed around week ago it has been revealed .

The Assasins had cut and removed one of the Tusks of the deceased Tusker it has been revealed.

The Tisker's body had found accordance to the information provided by the villagers of the area.

Two Persons Had Been Critically Injured Due To A Road Accident At Ginigathhena

Two persons had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were

travelling in veering off the road and toppled on a culvert at Bagathuluwa area on Ginigathhena -Nawalapitiya main road in wee hours of this morning (11).

The injured ,Three Wheeler driver and a passenger had been admitted to Nawalapitiya Base Hospital fro treatment .

The incident occurred as a result of the Three Wheeler drivers inability to control the high speed of the vehicle according to Ginigathhena Police which conducting investigations over the incident.
