A Doctor Was Injured Due To A Brawl Incident With A Medical Consultant

A Medical Consultant attached to the
Karapitiya Teaching Hospital had assaulted another doctor attached to the same Hospital this noon (05)near the Hospital grarage after heated argument.

The injured doctor had been admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred when the assaulted doctor had attempted to park his car in a place in Hospital Garage which the consultant want to park his car it has been revealed. The Angry Medical consultant had assaulted the dOctor afterwards.

However both doctors had complained to the Hospital Police they have been assaulted  by charging earth other. 

A 30 Year Old Person Was Shot And Killed In Mount Lavinia

A 30 year old person had been shot
killed by two unidentified gunmen who had covered their faces fully at Kaldemulla Junction in Mount Lavinia this evening  (05).

The critically injured person ,a resident of Kaldemulla area had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Kalubowila Teaching Hospital .

Two unidentified Gunmen arrived in  from a Motorcycle had shot the deceased and fled away from the scene it has been revealed.

The reason behind the gun shooting incident has not yet been revealed .

Around 100 Drugs Are Out Of Stock In Government Hospitals -Dr.Rajitha Senaratne

Around 100 Drugs are out of stock in
Government Hospitals at present and out of this 60 are essential drugs according to the Health Minister of Good Governance government Dr.Rajitha. Rajitha Senaratne .

Addressing a media briefing held in Prime Minister's official residence "Temple Trees" today (05)Dr.Senaratne has told the media All cancer drugs are out of stock in Kandy Teaching Hospital these days and also Anti Rabies vaccine is not available. 

Speaker Has Advised The SLBC Chairman And Media Ministry Secretary To Make State Media Independent

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya Had called the
secretary of the Media Ministry Sunil Hettiarachchi and Chairman of Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Somarathna Dassanayake to his office this evening  (05)and advised them to make State Media including Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) completly independent when covering news amidst current political enviornment.

Both officials have promised the speaker they will look in to this matter after the Speaker had asked them to explain reason for not Broadcasting  parliamentary sessions live through the SLBC.

 SLBC Chairman has accepted there's a fault behind not broadcasting parliamentary sessions live through SLBC .
