Around 9014 Complaints Related To Child Molestation Had Been Received Last Year
Around 9014 complaints related to
Child molestation had been received by the National Child Protection Authority during last year including 649 complaints on rape and severe sexual molestation according to the Health Promotions Bureau .
Out of the total number of complaints received on child molestation during last year 501 related to sexual harassment, 340 related to rape cases and 309 related to severe sexual molestation the Bureau has stressed.
A national action plan prepared by experts to prevent child molestation is due to be launched at a ceremony in Health Promotions Bureau this morning (27).

A Netherland Bank To Provide 52.1 Million Euros To Build 250 Steel Bridges In Sri Lanka
A Bank in Netherlands has agreed to
provide financial assistance worth 52.1 million Euros to Sri Lanka to build 250 steel bridges throughout the island according to Ministry of Economic Affairs.
An agreement has been signed between the RaBo Bank in Netherlands and Ministry of Finance regarding this project at the Ministry yesterday (26).
Government has planned to build 4000 bridges in rural areas with the aim of providing benefits of National level development projects to rural villages the Ministry has stated.
