All Sri Lankan Fishermen Arrested By Seychelles Authorities Have Been Released -Sri Lankan President

President Maithripala Sirisena who had returned to the Island yesterday (10)after concluding a two day official tour to Seychelles Islands has revealed that all Sri Lankan fishermen who had taken into custody by the Seychelles authorities whilest fishing in their territory have been released by the government of Seychelles yesterday.

The fishermen have been released after the discussions held between the Seychelles President and Sri Lankan President on the arrested Fishermen President has said.

A Sudden Fire Erupted In A Two Storied House At Kelaniya Had Been Doused

A Two storied house at Wanawasala

area in Kelaniya has been severely damaged due to a sudden fire erupted in the house last night (10)it has been reported.

Fire fighters attached to the Colombo Fire Services Department had doused the fire which spreads rapidly.

A power short had caused the fire it has been revealed .The estimated value of the damage received to the house as a result of the fire has not yet been revealed.

Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) Has Also Increased The Petrol And Diesel Prices

Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC)has

increased the prices of Petrol and Diesel in their filling stations with effect from midnight last night (10)coincided with the price increase implemented by the government owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) as per the new Price formula.

Accordingly the new price of a Liter of Octane 92 Petrol will be Rs.155 ,A Liter of Octane-95 Petrol will be Rs.172 ,A Liter of Super Diesel Rs.141 and a Liter of Auto Diesel.Rs.129 .

However Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has not increased the price of Auto Diesel although it should be increaed by Rs.11 per a Liter according to the new price formula,Due to it's effect to the local Transport industry .

Meanwhile Three Wheeler Unions are currently discussing on to increase the Three Wheeler fares due to the fuel.price hike.
