Blood Pressure Level Of Seventy Five Percent of The Local Sufferers Is Not Under Control

The Blood Pressure level of the  75 percent of   Sri Lankan Government Hospital patients who are  suffering from High Blood Pressure is not under control despite providing them with necessary medications according to the president of the Sri Lanka Medical Association Dr.Rouvaiz Haniffa.

Addressing a press briefing held at the Sri Lanka Medical Association Auditorium in Colombo -07 yesterday(20) Dr.Haniffa has stated that tbe cause behind this situation should be immediately investigated.

The spreading of High Blood Pressure among Sri Lankans is on the increase as in other countries it has been revealed.

Seven Suspects Of The Shooting Of Kirivehera Temple Chief Incumbent And Another Monk Were Remanded

The seven suspects arrested over the shooting of Chief incumbent of the Kataragama Kirivehera Temple kobawaka Dhamminna Thero and another Buddhist Monk in front of Kirivehera have been remanded until 04 th of July by the Tissamaharama Magistrate Court yesterday(20).

The seven suspects including the main suspect ,The former head of the Mahasen Devalaya in Kirivehera were produced before the Magistrate Court yesterday.


A Person Went Missing And Six Others Rescued After Capsizing Their Boat In Mahaweli River

 A Saudi Arabian female  was missing and Six persons including Five Saudi Arabian/ Qatar Nationals and the Boat operator have been saved after a Boat carrying Seven had capsized in Mahaweli river at Guhagoda in Katugasthota area today(20).


A search operation  is currently underway in search of the missing Saudi Arabian national according to the Police.Sri Lanka Navy,Police and residents of the area are being involved in the search operation.

The incident was occurred while the group of tourists involved in a Boat Ride.

A Fisherman Had Drifted Away To The Sea By Sea Waves At Chilaw Beach

A 45 year old fisherman had drifted away to the sea by strong sea waves while seated on the Beach in Chilaw area this morning(20)according to the Chilaw Police.

The Fisherman who had arrived at the Beach to go to sea for fishing had faced this incident due to the rough sea waves occurred in Chilaw sea belt these days it has been revealed.

The Chilaw Police Headquarters had requested the Sri Lanka Navy to assist the rescue operation in search of the missing fisherman who is a resident of Ambakandawila in Chilaw.
