A Tsunami Rehearsal To Be Held In Galle Tomorrow
A Tsunami rehearsal is due to be held
at Vidyaloka Collage in Galle tomorrow (03) according to the Disaster Management Unit in Galle.
This is the first Tsunami rehearsal that will be held in a school and people in the area are being requested not to panic unnesasarily due to the rehearsals according to the Disaster Management Unit.
Five coastal districts in the country have been selected for the Tsunami Rehearsals funded by United Nations Development Programme.

A Person Was Arrested With A Stock Of 30 Timber Logs
Kodigamam Police in Jaffna had
arrested a person while transporting 30 logs of Ceylon Satinwood (Burutha) Tree from a Tipper Truck today(02).
The timber logs have been felled from a government owned reserve it has been revealed.The estimated value of the stock of timber logs taken in to custody os around Rs.1 million according to Police.

A Couple Died Due To An Electrocution
A couple has died and their son was
hospitalized due to an electrocution while plucking coconuts with the help of a pole at lenadora area in Dambulla.
The son of the deceased couple was admitted to the Dambulla Hospital for treatment.
