Deputy Minister Nimal Lansa Has Been Resigned From His Post

Image result for resignationThe Deputy Home Affairs Minister Nimal Lansa has been resigned from his portfolio today(19)over several issued arisen in party politics it has been reported.

MP Lansa had been resigned from his portfolio due to the problems arisen when appointing organizers of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) according to reports.He had been submitted his resignation letter to the Presidential Secretariat .

Two Youth Were Killed And Another Two Were Critically Injured Due To A Motorcycle Collision

Image result for ACCIDENTTwo youth were killed and another Two youth have been critically injured and hospitalized due to a Head on Collision between two Motorcycles at Elephantpass area on Jaffna-Kandy, A-9 Road last night(18).

The Critically injured pillion riders of the two Motorcycles involved in the collision were admitted to Kilinochchi Hospital for treatment.

The deceased had been identified as residents of Jaffna and Kilinochchi areas of the ages 27 and 22 years respectively.

Three Sri Lankan Nationals Have Been Arrested With Over 2000 Mobile Phones In Possession

Airport Customs Officers have today (19) arrested three Sri Lankan Nationals arrived in from Dubai and China with over 2000 Mobile Phones brought illegally in their possession.

The estimated value of the Mobile Phones taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is nearly Rs.6 million.

The Mobile Phones taken in to custody in possession of the suspects have brought to the country without the approval of Telecommunication Regulatory Commission it has been revealed.

A 26 Year Old Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Bus Collision

A 26 year old Motorcyclist was killed after the Motorcycle he was riding colliding with a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Bus on Ratnapura-Colombo main road.

The deceased had been identified as a resident of Negambo area.

Police have arrested the Bus driver regarding the accident.

Examinations Department Has Suspended Two Students From Sitting G.C E Ordinary Level Examination Further Over Involving In An Examination Frauds

Image result for gce ordinary level examThe Examinations Department has today(19) suspended two students from  sitting  the G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination further  due to replying to  the Mathematics-01 paper held  yesterday(18)   with the help of a mobile phone in their possession.

Accordingly a Student who sat for the G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination for the second time at an Examination Center in Anuradhapura area and caught while answering the  Mathamatics-01 question paper with the help of the Viber app in his Mobile Phone and a Student who sat for Mathematics paper only at an Examination Center in Narahenpita also for the second time and caught while answering the paper with the help of a Mobile Phone were suspended from further sittings for  the Exam.

Both students were caught by in charge of their Examination Centers it has been revealed.

The student who was caught at  Anuradhapura Examination Center  was copied the question paper through the Viber, sent that to a young female got the answers it has been revealed.

Meanwhile Inspector General Of Police(IGP) Pujitha Jayasundare has  handed over the investigations on the two students who were involved in an examination fraud to the Criminal Investigations Department(CID).

Prices Of Medicinal Drugs In The Local Market Has Been Increased By 5%

Image result for medicinal drugsDue to the rising prices of Western Medicinal Drugs in the world market coincided with the value of US Dollar ,The prices of Drugs in the local market too have increased by 5% as per the requests made by Drug Importers and National Chamber Of Drug Importers the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stated.

The price increase has been done through a special Gazette notification Number 2049/31 dated 14-12 -2017 and accordingly the price of a Paracetamol Tablet wil be increased by 7 cents from  Rs.1.30 to Rs.1.37.

The National Drug Authority will carry out the raids to nab those pharamacies who are selling Drugs beyond these prices according to the Health Ministry.
