Two Youth Were Killed After Falling Down In To The Bolgoda Lake From A Boat

Two youth were drowned and killed after falling down
in to the Bolgoda Lake while rowing Boats on the Lake at Dalgada area yesterday (28).

Two other youth who were also fallen in to the lake while rowing the Boat  had managed to save their lives according to Bandaragama Police.

The deceased youth had been identified as residents of Atulugama,Bandaragama(Kalutara District).

President Sirisena And Delegation Arrived In South Korea

President Maithripala Sirisena and his 17 member Sri
Lankan delegation had arrived in the South Korean Capital Seoul yesterday (28)by begining a three day official visit there.

During the visit President Sirisena is due to hold bi lateral talks with South Korean leaders including President Moon Jae Inn and sign several agreements with South Korea.

Mahinda Rajapakshe demanding the Sri Lanka Freedo m Party(SLFP)to quit from the government after voting against the Budget and defeating it ,if the Party wants the Joint Opposition to contest the forthcoming Local Government Elections jointly with SLFP spokesman of the Joint Opposition Group MP Gamini Lokuge has stated.

'If the SLFP Parliamentary Group  fails to quit from the government the Joint Opposition Group will contest the Election under the "Pohottuwa"(Flower Bud)symbol "he has stated.

SLFP Parliamentary Group which  allied with the United National Party (UNP) led government should have  vote against the government on 09th of December during the voting of second reading of the Budget and proved that they are willing to contest jointly with the Joint Opposition Group in the forthcoming Elections MP Lokuge has stressed.

An Attempt Made By Two Persons To Rob A Foreign Money Exchange Center Was Foiled

An attempt made by two persons to steal money of a
Foreign Money Exchange Center in Aluthgama area had foiled this noon (28)due to a shortcoming of their plan according to the Police.

The two suspects equipped with firearms arrived in the Foreign Money Exchange Center this noon by covering their faces from  full face helmets and attempted to steal the money by showing firearms.

Somehow their attempt was foiled and finally they shot at a wall of the Center and fled away from the area it has been reported.

The images of robbers appeared in the CCTV screen fixed in the center according to reports.

Police are seeking public support to arrest the robbers.
