A Motorcyclist Was Killed And Two Others Critically Injured Due To A Motorcycle-Lorry Collision

A Motorcyclist was killed and his wife and five year
old daughter who were travelling with him were injured and hospitalized after the Motorcycle they were in colliding with a Lorry at Polgampala sub road in Meegahathanne area last evening (25).

The three critically injured were admitted to the Meegahathanne Hospital where the 39 year old Motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries on admission.

The critically injured wife and five year old daughter of the deceased were later transferred to thd Nagoda Hospital for further treatment.

Police had arrested the Lorry driver regarding the accident.




A 33 Year Old Female Was Critically Injured Due To A Trap Gun Blast

A 33 year old female had been critically injured and
hospitalized due to a trap gun blast occurred in a house at Inginiyagala ,Bibile yesterday (25).

The injured was admitted to the Bibile Base Hospital and later transferred to the Kandy Teaching Hospital with serious injuries  received to her head as a result of the Gun blast it has been reported.Her head  skull too affected due to the blast it has been revealed.

The injured female had undergone a surgery yesterday according to the authorities.

The trap gun had kept under the bed of the injured female's room and it got blasted when she was cleaning the room according to reports.

A Person Was Arrested With 33.925 Kilo Grammes Of Hashish Narcotic

A 34 year old person was arrested with 33.925 Kilo
Grammes of Hashish Narcotic at Urumale area in Thalaimannar by the special police task force personal of Mannar last night (25).

The suspect was handed over to the Thalaimannar Police  and due to be produced before the Mannar Magistrate Court today (26).

The arrest was made as per an information received by the special police task force personal.


Police Have Arrested A Motorcyclist With A Firearm

Police have arrested a 23 year old Motorcyclist with a

firearm at foman junction in Agunakolapalassa area today (25).

The police officers attached to Tangalle Crimes Division had carried out the raid as
 per an information received by them.

The suspect who is a resident of Agunakolapalassa area was handed over  to the Agunakolapalassa police for  further course of action
