British Medical Council Not Recognized The Malabe Private Medical Collage As It's Not Registered By Sri Lanka Medical Council -Health Minister

British Medical Council has not recognized the Malabe
Private Medical Collage (SAITM)yet as the Sri Lanka Medical Council not yet registered it here according to the Minister of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

"The arguement on that the British Medical Council has blacklisted the Malabe Private Medical Collage is that simple and doctors who are spreading rumors on this well informed on this although trying mislead the public on the situation.

Sri Lanka Medical Council too not recognize some of the medical facilties and collages in other countries as well if the Medical Councils of those countries not register them locally  Minister has stressed.

Night Mail Train From Badulle To Fort Stopped Due To Fallen Tree

The night mail train travelling from Badulle to
Colombo Fort had suddenly stopped near Haputhale Train station last night (16) after a tree had fallen down on the train engine.

The Train has resumed it's journey after the removal of the fallen tree it has been reported. 

President Sirisena Had Left United States To Address UN General Assembly

President Maithripala Sirisena had left  for  New
York,United States Of America this morning (17) to address 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations .

The main session of the UN General Assembly is due to begin on 19th of September (Tuesday) and president sirisena is due to address the session in   the same evening.

This is the third time that president sirisena addressing the UN General Assembly.

A Chinese National Was Killed After Colliding With A Bus And Run Over By A Lorry

A chinese national was killed on the spot and another
Chinese national had critically  injured and hospitalized after colliding with a bus and run over by a lorry  while crossing the road at Lodge Junction on  Habarana- Dambulla main road .

The injured chinese national had been transferred to Dambulle Hospital after admitting to Habarana Hospital.

The two chinese nationals had faced the incident while on the way to their hotel in Habarana.





Sri Lankan Cricketer Chamara Silva Has Been Banned For Two Years Over Match Fixing

Sri Lanka cricket has imposed a two year cricket ban
for Cricketer Chamara De Silva over match fixing during internal matches.

Under the ban Chamara silva will completely banned from all cricket activities for a two year period.

The ban was imposed based on the findings of the investigations held on match fixing.
