Colombo Additional Magistrate Requested A Medical Report On Duminda Silva's Health Condition

Colombo Additional Magistrate has today(13) directed the prison
 authorities to produce the imprisoned former MP Duminda de Silva who is in a death row over the murder of former MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandre  to Colombo National Hospital and examine his health condition under a panel of medical specialists of the Hospital .

The Additional Magistrate has also instructed the Colombo National Hospital director Dr.Anil Jasinghe to submit a medical report on Duminda Silva's health condition by 28th of February .

The court seeks a medical report of Duminda Silva's  health condition to confirm his inability to appear before the court due to illness it has been revealed.


Medical Faculty Deans Are To Meet Health Minister To Discuss On SAITM

Dean's of all the medical facilities in the
country  are due to meet Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne on this Wednesday (15) at the Health Ministry  to discuss on Malabe Private Medical Collage(SAITM) issue according to the Ministry of Health.

The deans have already submitted their proposals of the SAITM issue to the Health Minister the Ministry has stated .

Meanwhile the Health Minister Dr.Senaratne has stressed that he did not have any personal deal with SAITM and only a policy matter on it


Siix Persons Were Arrested For Excavating A Treasure

Ratnapura Police have today(13) arrested six persons in Muthukeliya
Muthukeliya reserve (Monaragala District) while  Excavating in search of a treasure .

The suspects  are in the ages of 29 to 39 years and residents of Ratnapura ,Buttala and Colombo districts  it has been revealed

They are due to be produced before the Wellawaya Magistrate Court .

Health Minister Has Instructed Health Secretary To Print Gazette Notification On Reducing The Price Of Cataract Lenses

Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne
has today (13) instructed the Health Ministry Secretary Anura Jayawikrama to print the gazette notification of reducing the price of cataract eye lenses in the local market.

Health Minister has recently started that he will reduce the price of cataract eye lenses by RS.20,000 .The cataract lenses in local market can be purchased for around Rs.30,000.
