A Protest Was Held In Boralesgsmuwa Demanding The Removal Of A Brothal House

The Buddhist Clergy and residents in Boralesgsmuwa area have
 protest march  today(11) in front of the Newton Seneviratne Mawatha (Road),Boralesgsmuwa  demanding the removal of a brothal house running in the area for over eighteen years  .

Due to the Brothal House the residents in the area have faced severe difficulties over the years  according to the protestors .

President To Appoint An Expert Committee To Advise On SAITM

President Maithripala Sirisena has today(11) stated that he will
 appoint an expert committee to consult all the relevant parties and advise the government on Malabe ,Private Medical Collage (SAITM) Issue.

President has made this statement through a Twitter message after discussing on SAITM  issue with representatives of Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA).

GMOA and Sri Lanka Medical Council had made their stand on the issue to the president and the Inter University Students Federation(IUSF) has requested a discussion from the president on SAITM.

A Mother Was Killed And Her Daughter Critically Injured Due To A Train Accident

A mother was killed and her ten year old daughter critically injured
after a train knocked them down while trying to cross the railway crossing in Pilimathalawa(Central Province) today(11).

The critically injured mother and her daughter were admitted to two hospitals in Peradeniya and Kandy and the mother has succumbed to her injuries later the Kadugannawa Police have stated.

The critically injured daughter who received injuries to her head is currently receiving treatment .

One Person Was Killed And Three Others Injured Due To A Road Accident In Rockwood Area

A 33 year old person was killed and three others were injured and
 hospitalized after the Motor Car they were travelling in fallen down a precipice at Rockwood area on Maskeliya -Hatton road today(11)

The deceased has been identified as the driver of the Motor Car .The persons in the car were on their way to Norwood area after worshipped the Sri Padha it has been revealed.

Three Persons Died On Their Way To Sri Padha

Three persons who came to worship Sri
Padha have died due to sudden illness on their way to Sri Padha Rock on Nallathanniya-Sri Padha road according to the Police.

The three persons ,a female and two males had been identified as residents of moratuwa,kamburupitiya and matara areas and their bodies were sent to the Maskeliya hospital for post mortems Police have stated.

Police suspected the deceased fallen ill due to the heavy cold weather prevailing in surrounding areas of Sri Padha these days.
