A Fungus Growing On The Surface Of Sigiriya Frescoes

A fungus is reported as growing on the surface of

internationally famous Sigiriya frescoes.

According to the Central Cultural Fund steps had been taken to remove the fungus by using a chemical witb effect from today (18).

Cabinet Approved A Proposal To Include A Declaration On Driving Licence To Indicate Drivers Will To Donate Organs

Cabinet has approved a proposal made by Minister Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne to include a declaration in Driving Licenses declaring the Driver's will to donate their organs and Tissues as a living human being and in a Brain Death or a Circulatory Death status to save a life of a patient .

Drivers will to donate their organs at above mentioned situations will be indicated in the driving license according to the sources.

General Manager Of Western Provincial Council Road Development Authority Has Been Removed

The General Manager of Western Provincial Council Road Development Authority Ruwanka Munijith has been removed from the post with effect from today(18) due to a Road License fraud case it has been reported.

He was removed from the post by the Western Provincial Council Transport Minister Lalith Wanigaratne.

A Person Was Killed And His Son Was Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Road Accident

A person was killed and his son was injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were in veered off the road and crashed into a Gate at Katandola ,Rathnapura area in wee hours today(18).

The critically injured father who drove the Three Wheeler and his son admitted to the Rathnapura General Hospital for treatment and the father had succumbed to his injuries after admission it has been reported.

Rathnapura Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.
