Government To Extend The Northern Expressway To Trincomalee-Minister Kiriella

Government has decided to extend the Northern Expressway  to  Trincomalee through  Dambulla and Habarana areas according to the Minister Of Higher Education and Highways Lakshman Kiriella .

A Chinese company is developing the Northern Expressway up to Habarana and the government has decided to extend it up to Trincomalee the Minister has stated.

Northern Expressway is due to join the proposed Central Expressway which is approved by the Cabinet recently.

Debt Burden Of The Country Will be Reduced By The Year 2020- Prime Minister

Addressing the 70th Anniversary Ceremony of the governing United National Party held at Campball Park in Colombo the Prime Minister has stated "We will not be able to continue our journey as a divided nation. It is essential to have unity among people ".

President Maithripala Sirisena and former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kunarathunge were also graced the occasion.

Flying Officers Of Sri Lankan Air Lines Are On Work To Rule Campaign By Demanding The Reinstatement Of Suspended Captain

Image result for sri lankan airlineThe Flying Officers belonging to the national carrier Sri Lankan Air Lines are currently engaging in a work to rule campaign by demanding to reinstate the suspended Flight Captain of the Air Lines who was charged for delaying the Frankfurt-Colombo bound Sri Lankan Air Lines Flight due to a liquor influence last month it has been reported.

According to the flying officers trade union it's members will continue their work to rule campaign until the suspended captain is reinstated.

However by refusing the demand of Flying Officers Trade Union the Sri Lankan Air Lines authorities have stated the suspension imposed on the above mentioned captain as per the civil aviation regulations and  will take action against him after the inquiry report on  him is handed over on 27th of this month,
