Three Detained Teenagers Who Had Pelted Stones Were Remanded Until 26th Of August

Image result for STONINGThe three teenagers who were detained by the Narahenpita Police yesterday (17) for pelting stones at a train in Kelany Vally Route have been remanded until 26th of August by the Colombo Hulftsdorf Magistrate today (18).

The suspects were remanded after being produced before the Magistrate today.

The magistrate has ordered to send a 17 year old teenager who was among the remanded to the government approved school in Makola Area for rehabilitation.

Navy Have Detained A Person With A Haul Of Kerala Cannabis At Marichchukkadi Area

Image result for kerala cannabisNavy personal have yesterday (17) evening  detained a person who illegally transported 2 kilo grammes of Kerala cannabis at Marichchukkadi area (In northern province).

The suspect along with the haul of Kerala cannabis was produced before Narcotics Department in Vavuniya for a future course of action according to the Navy sources.

Police Narcotics Bureau Has Detained A Pakistani National At The Katunayake Air Port With Heroin

Image result for katunayake airportThe Police Narcotics Bureau officials have today(18) detained a Pakistani National with a haul of heroin worth around  Rs.7 million in possession while  attempting to enter the country at  Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Air Port.

The Police Narcotics Bureau is due to obtain  a detention order for the suspect who arrived from Karachchi City,Pakistan through the Negambo Magistrate Court.The Bureau is conducting further investigations on the incident.

New Commander Of The Special Task Force Has Been Appointed

Image result for appointmentThe National Police Commission has appointed the Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG) M.R Latheef as the new commander of the Police  Special Task Force(STF).This appointment has  ratified by the Inspector General Of Police(IGP) Pujitha Jayasundera.

He is due to assume his duties as the STF Commander  tomorrow(18).

Bribery Commission Has Filed Five Bribery Cases Against Former President's Chief Security Officer

The Bribery Commission has today(18) filed five bribery cases in Colombo Magistrate court against Army Major Neville Wanniarachchi who is the chief security officer of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe.

These five cases  had filed as a a result of not revealing his assets and liabilities earned for the period 2010 to 2014 the Bribery Commission has informed the court today.

The former president's chief security officer Neville Wanniarachchi is due to appear before the court on 28th of September as per the order of the Magistrate court it has been revealed.
