Navy Have Detained Three Local Fishermen With Banned Fishing Nets In Mannar

The Navy Officers attached to Naval Base in Mannar(In Northern Province) have today (23) detained three Sri Lankan Fishermen with banned fishing nets while involved in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan waters.

The fishermen were detained at Southbar Sea Area in Mannar.

The Navy Officers have handed over the detained fishermen and their fishing nets to the Assistant Fisheries Director in Mannar  for future course of action

An Unidentified Body Of A Female Has Been Found After Washed Ashore At Tangalle

An unidentified body of a female whose age  is around 35 years has been found by the Tangalle Police today(23)after washed ashore at Paraviwella Beach in Tangalle (In southen Province).

The body of the female  has been sent to the Hambanthota Hospital for an identification and  Tangalle Police are conducting further Investigations on the le incident.

Two Motorcyclists Were Killed Due To Their Motorcycles Collided Each Other At Kahawatta Area

Two Motorcyclists were killed today (23) at Godagama Area in Kahawatta(In Ratnapura District) as their Motorcycles collided each other.

The two Motorcyclists of the ages 32 and 21 from Palmadulla and Kahawatte areas respectively have succumbed to their injuries on admission to the Kahawatta Hospital according to sources.

A 30 Year Old Man Dressed A Female Burka Cloth Was Detained At Katunayake Airport

A 30 year old Sri Lankan male who was wearing a muslim female cloth "Burka" was detained by the Security Officers at Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport this evening due to his suspicious behaviour.

During questioning the suspect has stated that he dressed a Burka cloth to surprise his girl friend who was returning from Qatar today.

As the statements made by the suspect were contradictory the security officers at the Katunayake ,Airport had handed over him to the Katunayake Police.He is due to produce before Negambo Magistrate Court.

None Of The Sri Lankans Is Affected Due To Yesterday's Gun Shooting In Munich- Foreign Ministry

The Sri Lanka foreign ministry has today (23)stated that none of the  sri lankkans is affected due to yesterday's gun shooting incident occured at Olympia Shopping Mall in Munich ,Germany.

Due to the shooting carried out by a 18 year old Iranian around ten people were killed and dozens in jured   it has been reported.

Meanwhile Sri Lankan government has today condemned the brutal terrorist attack carried out  in Munich yesterday and extended condolances to the families of the victims and wish a quick recovery for those injured.
