A Severe Shortage Of Vegetables Occurred In Dambulla Economic Center

A Severe Shortage of vegetables occurred at Dambulla Economic Center these day as a result of not receiving enough amount of vegetables to the Center it has been reported.

The adverse weather conditions prevailed in the country during past few days has caused this situation it has been reported.

At the moment the prices of vegetables stands as Rs.100-180  per kilo gramme.

Colombo High Court Temporarily Suspended The Bail Order Granted To Former Additional Magistarte Thilian Gamage

The Colombo High Court has today(13) temporarily suspended the bail order granted to former Colombo Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage over keeping a baby elephant in his possession without a valid permit.

The court order regarding the suspension to former Colombo Additional Magistrate Gamage was issued to him considering the  revised application filed by Attorney General.The Revised Application Sought to annul the Gangodawila Magistrate's bail order and order to remand former Additional Magistrate over charges against him.

The former Additional Magistrate  was released on bail by Gangodawila Magistrate on 02nd of June after he was surrendered to the court.

Sri Lanka Navy Have Detained 23 Local Fishermen Along With Equipment While Ilegally Fishing In Sri Lankan Waters

Sri Lanka Navy have today(13) detained 23 local Fishermen along with three fiber glass Dinghy Boats they were in and equipment while illegally fishing in seas off Sampur(In Eastern Province).

During the raid Navy have taken into custody three fiber glass dinghies,two diving masks and three monofilament nets.The detained fishermen and equipment were handed over to the fisheries inspector in Muttur for future course of action.

MP Udaya Gammanpila Given A Six Hour Statement To CID Regarding An Allegation

The leader of the "Pivithuru Hela Urumaya" Party MP Udaya Gammanpila has today(13) given a six hour  statement to Criminal Investigations Division(CID)regarding an allegation leveled against him.

MP Gammanpila has given a statement regarding an allegation leveled against him on alleged financial irregularity occurred while selling shares belonging to an Australian Company.
