During First Five Months Of This Year 135 HIV/AIDS Positives Detected From The Country

During first six months of this year from January to May 135 HIV /AIDSPositives have been detected from the island according to director of National Sexually Transmitted Diseases.AIDS Control Programme Dr.Sisira Liyanage.

The majority of these HIV Positives were males of the age group 25-45 Dr.Liyanage has stressed.

The spreading of HIV/AIDS Virus among persons who sexually contacted sex workers and male to male sexual contacts are on the increase in the country he has further stated.

Navy Have Detained Three Local Fishermen While Ileglaly Fishing In Sri Lanakan Waters

Image result for sri lankan waters fishingThe Sri Lanka Navy Personal have today (09)detained three local fishermen while involving in illegal fishing by using unauthorized fishing nets in the seas off ippantivu and periyaarachchal areas .

During the raid the Navy Personal have taken to custody two fiber glass dinghies and two banned monofilament fishing nets according to Navy.

The detained fishermen and the equipment were handed over to the assistant director fisheries in Puttalam for future course of action.

Three Killed And A Child Injured Due To A Hand Grenade Explosion At Koswatta In Thalangama

Image result for hand grenade explosion sketchesThree Persons were killed and a small child was injured and hospitalized due to a hand grenade explosion occurred at Koswatta in Thalangama Area near Thalangama Police Station(In Colombo) this morning.

A Mother and the Grand Mother of the injured child and the person who detonated  the Grenade were killed due to the explosion according to the Police.The Injured Child was admitted to Colombo National Hospital for treatment.

The Grenade Explosion was a result of a personal dispute the Police have stated.

No Confidence Motion Against Finance Minister Was Defeated At The Parliament With Majority Of 94 Votes

Image result for sri lanka parliamentThe no confidence motion submitted against finance minister Ravi Karunanayake was defeated this evening at the Parliament while 145 out of 225 MP'S in the Parliament voted against the motion and only 51 MP's voted in favor of it.

The no confidence motion which was scheduled to be taken into debate yesterday(08) was postponed until today(09) by the speaker Karu Jayasuriya due to a technical fault of the house.

No Confidence Motion against Finance Minister was signed and  handed over to the Parliamentary Speaker by 37 MP'S of the joint opposition group on 24th of March by accusing the Minister for  providing false information to the house including some proposals of the budget-2016.
