Sri Lanka's Parliament To Convene A Constitutional Assembly On 05th Of April

Sri Lanka's Parliament is due to  convene a Constitutional Assembly for the first time on 05th Of April according to Minister Of Higher Education and Highways and leader of the house Lakshman Kiriella.

The Constitutional Assembly which comprising of all members of the Parliament is due to establish sub committees that will work on  the constitution making process and elect members for the sub committees.

The Constitutional Assembly has been appointed in the purpose of deliberating and the seeking views and advise of people on a new constitution for Sri Lanka and preparing a draft of a constitution bill for the consideration of Parliament.

To ensure transparency the proceedings of Constitutional Assembly will be opened for Media according to Minister Kiriella.

Newly Developed 05th Zone Of Yala National Park Has Opened For Tourists

The newly developed  05th  Zone of Yala National Park at Hambathota(In Southern Province) has been opened to local and foreign tourists yesterday(26).

The Road Development activities of 03rd,04th and 05th Zones attached to Yala National Park are currently underway with the cost of Rs.100 Million according to sources.Around 120 Kilo Meters have been developed up to now under this sources have added.

An Official Dog Unit To Be Established For Prisons-Department Of Prisons

The Department Of Prisons has decided to establish an Official Dog Unit for  prisons situated throughout the island..

This Official Dog Unit will be established jointly with Official Police Dog Unit in view of tracing various kinds of businesses that running at the prisons .

The Pilot Project of the establishing of an official dog unit attached to Prisons will be launched at Prisons Headquarters on Monday(28).
