A Mother And Her Infant Son Died After Fallen To A Well In Jaffna

A Mother and her infant son had reported as fallen to a Well near their residence in Palai,Jaffna and died according to the reports.

The Police have recovered the bodies of 32 year old Mother and her one month old infant son from the well after received  information on the incident.

The Post Mortum Examination has revealed the cause of the deaths of Mother and Infant as drowning in the well.

The Police have launched an investigation on the deaths of Mother and Infant according to sources.

Dry Weather In The Island To Continue Further

The Dry Weather prevails in the Country at present will continue further  in most parts of the country according to Department Of Meteorology.

However showers or thunder showers may occur in Galle and Matara Districts as well as in  Sabaragamuwa Province after 4 p.m the Department has stated.

Image result for examineTwo Specialists attached to the German Company which manufactured the two exploded transformers belonging to Ceylon Electricity Board  are due to arrive Sri Lanka tomorrow(21) to check the reasons for explosions.

The two German Specialists are due to visit the locations that two exploded transformers are to examine them according to Ministry Of Power and Renewable Energy.

Two Transformers at the Ceylon Electricity Board's Biyagama Sub Station and Grid Sub Station at Kotugoda had exploded suddenly on last Sunday and Friday respectively.

Sri Lanka Navy Have Arrested Two Indian Fishermen With 6.5 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis At Seas Of Northern Point Pedro

Sri Lanka Navy have arrested two Indian Fishermen with 6.5 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis(Ganja) in their possession at seas of Northern Point Pedro today(20).

The Naval Officers in a Vessel which was on routine petrol have made this arrest and a fishing dhow along with fishing gear too were arrested with Indian Fishermen.

The arrested fishermen who are residents of Nagapattinam and Keechankuppam areas in Tamil Nadu and items were handed over to the Point Pedro Police for future course of action according to Sri Lanka Navy.
